Lithium iron phosphate(LiFePO4) battery, means that lithium-ion battery which use of lithium iron phosphate as cathode material. Lithium-ion battery cathode materials are mainly lithium cobalt oxide, lithium manganese oxide, lithium nickelate, ternary materials, lithium iron phosphate and so on. 2. Improved life expectancy
Long life lead-acid battery cycle life of about 300 times, the highest will be 500 times, while the lithium iron phosphate battery, the cycle life of more than 2000 times, the standard charge (5 hours rate) use, up to 2000 times. Large current discharge can be high current 2C fast charge and discharge, in a dedicated charger, 1.5C charge 40 minutes to make the battery is full, starting current up to 2C, and lead-acid batteries without this performance.
3. High temperature performance is good
The peak value of lithium iron phosphate can reach 350 ℃ -500 ℃ and lithium manganese oxide and lithium cobalt oxide only about 200 ℃. Wide operating temperature range (-20C - +75), high temperature characteristics of lithium iron phosphate heating peak up to 350 ℃ -500 ℃, while the lithium manganese oxide and lithium cobalt oxide only about 200 ℃.
4. High capacity
Has a larger capacity than ordinary batteries (lead acid, etc.). Monomer capacity of 5AH-1000AH.
5. No memory effect
Nickel-metal hydride, nickel-cadmium batteries exist memory effect, and lithium iron phosphate battery without this phenomenon, regardless of what state the battery can be used with the charge, no need to put the first re-charge.
6. Light weight
The same size capacity of lithium iron phosphate battery volume is the lead-acid battery volume of 2/3, the weight of lead-acid batteries 1/3.
7. Environmental protection
The battery is generally considered to contain no heavy metals and rare metals (nickel-metal hydride batteries to be rare metals), non-toxic (SGS certified), non-polluting, in line with European RoHS regulations.
C. DISADVANTAGES
For example, the low temperature performance is poor, the tap density of the positive electrode material is small, and the volume of the lithium iron phosphate battery is larger than that of the lithium ion battery such as lithium cobaltate, so there is no advantage in the micro battery.
